Glynn County Schools Recognition and Achievement: Empower. Elevate. Engagement

This school year, our theme is Empower. Elevate. Engagement. What better way to bring that to life than by celebrating the amazing staff members who embody these values every single day?

We are excited to introduce the Empowering Heart Award - a special recognition for those who:

- Achieved something which significantly contributes to their school,
- Uses an innovative and enthusiastic approach to their job responsibilities, and
- Makes contributions that have a measurable impact in their school.

These staff members were nomiated by other teachers, admin, parents, and students. Congratulations to all of those who have shown our Quarter 1 quality!

For Quarter 2, we specifically honed in on Elevation—what it means to elevate instruction. This means consistently raising the quality, effectiveness, and impact of teaching and learning so that every student is deeply engaged, appropriately challenged, and fully supported.
 

This special recognition award is reserved for those who consistently:
- Deepen student thinking,
- Align lessons to high standards,
- Personalize learning for every student, and
- Create classrooms full of engagement, equity, and excellence.

Nominated by teachers, administrators, parents, and students alike, these honorees have demonstrated the highest quality of our Quarter 2 focus. Congratulations to all the recipients!

This year’s theme is Empower. Elevate. Engage. For Quarter 3, our focus shifted to what it means to Engage Community — building strong, authentic bridges between our schools, our families, and the Golden Isles community to ensure every student has a network of support.

The Engage Community Award was our chance to celebrate Glynn County colleagues who:

• Strengthen the home and school connection, making families true partners in student success.
• Foster community partnerships that bring local resources, expertise, and opportunities into our buildings.
• Champion inclusivity, ensuring every voice in our diverse community is heard and valued.
• Represent Glynn County Schools with pride, serving as an ambassador for our mission beyond the classroom walls.

We asked our staff members to think about those staff members who look beyond the school gates to enrich the student experience. This might be a teacher who invites local professionals to mentor their class, an educator who organizes service-learning projects that give back to the Golden Isles, or a staff member who creates welcoming spaces where families feel integrated into school life. These are the moments when our community is engaged, and our schools become the heart of the Glynn County family.
