What inspired you to become a principal?
I was privileged to work under some great principals in Glynn County Schools. Dr. Kelly Howe, Mrs. Tere Miller, and Dr. Ella Green inspired me with their commitment to their students, faculty, and families. I love instruction, and Glynn County Schools values principals as instructional leaders. I’m very excited to lead our students and teachers in learning at Satilla Marsh.
What is your own vision/mission for the school under your leadership?
The Sandpipers will continue to value the characteristics of LEAD - Leadership, Excellence, Attitude and Determination. We will create highly engaging opportunities for our students to learn while engaging families and community members in our school community. I also recognize that we have an amazing staff at Satilla Marsh Elementary, and I want to cultivate future leaders for Glynn County Schools.

What does student success look like for you?
Successful students are happy to be at school and feel safe and comfortable in their classrooms and in all aspects of the school environment. Successful students are focused on showing academic growth in reading and math, and they are aware of what they’re learning. Successful students are able to teach others through discourse and challenge themselves to connect their knowledge to real world experiences.
Outside of school, where might students, parents or staff members run into you?
Shopping in local boutiques and businesses, eating at local restaurants, and going to Brunswick High School football games on Friday nights. Go Pirates!
